The silver stainless steel case is toped with a silver bezel with black engraved accents that frames a white dial background with silver Arabic numerals and large luminous hands (with seconds hand). It also offers water resistance to 50 meters (165 feet) and a genuine leather strap in brown. The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology.  Still going August 29, 2010

I've had this watch for around 5 years and it's still going. It's had one battery change and 4 new straps in that time. Unfortunately, this watch has a problem with corrosion - the back plate is in a very bad way, as are the buttons. The front bezel and crystal are still immaculate though. I don't really wear this watch anymore, but it's still sitting in a drawer ticking away. Always liked the look of it too. It probably had 3 years of solid use and abuse before it started to corrode and the battery died - so as long as you only expect it to last that long, then buy with confidence.

This is a great deal. It is a slight upgrade from the previous watch my husband owned but it looks three times as nice. The glow-in-the-dark hands are a nice touch that were welcomed by my husband. It is hard to find a nice watch that is not ridiculously overpriced that has the digital and analog combination. Good quality and nice overall look!

This watch has all the conveniences of a digital watch but looks like a grownup's watch. I've owned 2, both of which lasted me for quite a few years -- I replaced the band on both at least once. #2 died today, so I'm going to get a third. It's well worth the price.
Great styling, but not particularly sturdy July 24, 2010

This is my second purchase of this model of Timex Expedition watch. My previous one lasted me 3 years, but I dropped it on hard floors a few times too many, and the crown finally popped out. I did experience the same problem that others reported of the second-hand sticking occasionally. I think this also came about due to my less-than-careful handling of the watch. This watch really shouldn't be in the Expedition line, it's just not shock-resistant enough.
But after shopping around online for at least an hour, I just couldn't find anything in this price range that matches the features that this watch has: analog-digital combo, light-colored face with easy-to-read dial, attractive styling, buckle-type strap (I just don't like metal bands), Indiglo backlight, and a whole range of digital functions in the lower window. To get anything else close to what I wanted, I would have had to spend nearly $100. I spent $37.95 including shipping on this Timex, $5.00 less than I paid 3 years ago. So I've resolved to be very good to this one and make it last this time!
