Another nice timex ironman December 21, 2007 R. Frosti (Ivoryton, CT) It's black with very muted grey-blue accents. The face has some kind of reflective material that catches light at certain angles. It's helpful and kind of cool. The "indiglo" is blue-ish and very readable. This is my second ironman 30-lap traditional fullsize (the first lasted 3 years of hard everday use) and I'm very happy with it. I enjoy their features and comfort so much that I doubt I'll own any other watch in the foreseable future.
Decent sports watch for the money. July 22, 2007 That Guy The watch is decent. No real problems with it as of yet. However I do not like the functionality of the Chronometer/splitter. The button at times is overly sensitive and on a few occasions it has reset during my workout. Also, as a lap counter it fails miserably.
great value for everyday, no-nonsense, no-worry watch June 20, 2007 mix master i.c.e. (a galaxy, far, far away...) i bought this watch because i was happy with my previous ironman watch that lasted five years until the battery went. i have a much more expensive, dressier watch that i will wear when i want to dress to impress but for everyday use, the ironman goes great with my khaki's at work or with my jeans on the weekends. i can go about my business and not worry about getting my watch scraped or scratched if i bump into things or worry about losing it when i take it off when i go to work out.
Its cheap, waterproof and does what it says June 19, 2007 Ancient Mariner (Bethesda, MD) Needed a cheap waterproof "bang around" watch with chronograph that I could use sailing, especially at night. Indiglo feature is very visible in dark.
Good value for the money.
Great Everyday Watch June 11, 2007 R. Novak (SF Bay Area) I have owned a couple of these watches. They are workhorses. You can leave them on in the shower, etc. The only downside is that they do not do well once the battery needs replacing. I bought this one because my last one lost all alarm functions after battery replaced BY A JEWELER. I was told that these watches are basically considered "disposable." Still a good deal for the money.
